Thank You...!

Saying "thank you", or at least "thanks", should never be forgotten. I've seen an ad - government-based, the one that airing on the TV day in and day out, regardless of the lack of creativity, it's sending us a message, though.

Some people we know are hard to at least say one simple short word - Thanks. Each and everyone of us know that there is no harm by not saying "thanks" at all. But, it's an unsung and unwritten rules that we inherited from our ancestors; whereas saying "thanks" be made compulsory every time someone shown us their hands.

I'm not relating this matter to someone or anyone, but this happened last night. A poor and weak old man helped me lifting up a heavy thing. Maybe because of being tired, he left at once. I felt really, really embarrassed by myself for not be able to say thanks. Not that I didn't want to, but he simply left, just like that.

Waking up this morning, I made up my mind to redeem myself for the thing I've done last night. The first thing I did when arriving at work was seeing this old man. I took him for a breakfast. I told him that I wanted to pay the bill, but he refused to.

At the end of the process, he left first. He said he had something important to do that he couldn't sit long. I let him go. When I was about to pay the bill, the stall keeper said the old man has paid for the bill. The moment she (the stall keeper) said that, that was a whack! And what a whack! I lost to him twice! Shame on me...Shame on me.

The next time I see this old man, I'm sure I will not lose to him. I'll repay the good deeds he has done to me. I always come second to everyone when it comes to doing good deeds....Shame on me! How do I come first???
