3 Down, 3 More To Go...!

I've done 3 competitions for the Fitness Month so far. From the 3 competitions, I've found that boys are more into sports than girls do. 'Course there are some sport enthusiasts among the girls, but they were too much holding back themselves. This is gonna be an uphill task, unearthing their talents...! I'd really like to see some diamonds rise from the dust...But oh, well!

I've also found some talents in sprint and handball. Because some of them are only 10, I think I should nurture them into some contenders for next year's MSSM games (athletics and handball). What surprised me was there were some promising talents in Primary 3 pupils...(I'll show you their pics in next...after next post). They played by invitations only, but yet they've shown great enthusiasm throughout the netball games.

3 more competitions to go, "Fitness Test" for Year 1 - Year 3 pupils, and grand finale for Sprint Test Competitions and for 5's Handball Competitions. I hope these games will run as smooth as the previous 3 competitions.

I am also planning for the Fitness Month 2009 Closing Ceremony. There will be some activities during the closure, but they won't be heavy. Maybe just some talks about health, plus some aerobic exercises. Mr. Ismail Md. Noor (from Pusat Kokurikulum Negeri Melaka) was being invited for the talk and conducting the aerobic exercises. But he haven't given his confirmation yet. I hope he would be able to come, or at least a replacement (could be Mdm. Zahriah M. Hamid, also from the same centre).

The only one thing that is still pending, is the token which will be given to the VIPs. I suggested a T-shirt printed (or could be embedded) with the Fitness Month logo. But the HM hasn't give it a go just yet. I can't wait for the Closing Ceremony...

5's Handball Competition

Salam...

I'm working on running the 5's Handball Competition, in line with the MoE Fitness Month 2009. The competition will be on July 22nd. I haven't uploaded the pics from the "Sprint Test" and Netball Competition which were held last month. It's weekend now, and Mdm. Fatimah and Mdm. Norida have gone back to their hometown. So, no pictures in this post.

Players' lists are ready, score sheets are ready, circulations are ready...What next? THE GAME! Only the game, the competition now. Hopefully, the competition will run smooth, just like the Sprint Test and Netball competition.

Trophies....Arghh!!! I need to confirm its number to the supplier tomorrow!!!

MoE Fitness Month 2009

Every single teacher in Malaysia knows about this month :)

Based on the Official Circulation (a.k.a Surat Pekeliling) released by MoE (Ministry of Education) some years back, July was made as Fitness Month. Thus, there is a number of programs being run by the Ministry in order to ensure our future leaders are fit enough to spearhead the country to glory in years to come.

I would like to highlight some things pertaining to this program:
  1. This is the month where students who can really (or not really) excel in sports shows their talents, apart of MSSM and all sports and extra curricullar programs.
  2. One of the objectives is to instill the sporting culture to the students as well as to the teachers.
  3. There is a number of programs being run, be it at school level, district level, state level or national level.
  4. Aerobic exercise is being made compulsory, where it has to be conducted each and every week after schooling hours.
  5. Some people can really enjoy this month.
  6. At the same time, some people found it as time wasting (oww....C'mon!!!)
As the person incharge of sports thingy in school, I was obligated to run this program at school level. I have planned some competitions and (could be impossible) an exhibition.

I've done 2 competitions so far; netball games for female students and "sprint test" for male students. I had so much fun doing those 2 competitions, both AT ONCE. I repeat, both AT ONCE. Imagine how busy I was juggling between those two competitions.

In next post, I will try to upload some pictures of the competitions. I wasn't able to hold the camera, even for a second because I had to hold a lot of score sheets in my hands. Mdm. Norida and Mdm. Fatimah (my teaching mates) took all the pictures. Credits to both of them for their supports and co-operations. Hopefully they will always be put under PE Panel, because I had a lot of fun working with them :)

Addicted To Drama

I don't want to write long. People are tired to read my writing, because they're waaaay toooooo long. I've heard some words of mouth saying that when a person is able to write long, that means he/she is talkative. I don't have any idea. Because some people I know are silent in real life (hence will be written as "RL" in short), but they can be very "talkative" on the net, or when spending their time with their partners. In fact, when my lecturer ask me to do a 500-word essay, I'd end up doubling, or even trebling it; which means I can easily drag my essay up to 1000 - 1500 words. I actually just can't stop writing (or typing) because the ideas flow like a river current.

Well, let's get back to the topic.

I can't believe that I'm now addicted to some TVB (a Hong Kong's media company that produce lotsa serial dramas which can be seen widely in local TV) dramas. I've found that their storylines are somehow interesting; lingering around family matters (at most), while some mirrored my own life! That's sound spooky to me!!! *brrr*

I'm known for a fan of Cantonese films. I really enjoy watching Canto films or drama. Some of them can really embed my mind. And I can even state some of their actors (but very little actresses), be it the leading roles or even in supporting roles. Eric Tsang is one of my favourites, along with the likes; Simon Yam, Lau Ching Wan, both Tony Leungs (Leung Kar-Fei and Leung Chiu Wai) and all-time favourites - Chow Yuen-Fatt, Andy Lau Tak Wah and Sammo Hung. Well, the list goes on. There are too many of them. The one that made me hooking up currently is "Heart of Greed", which is being aired on 8TV from 1900 - 2000hrs, every weekdays.

Oh, this posting went long also. I should stop by now. It's late night already :)

Thank You...!

Saying "thank you", or at least "thanks", should never be forgotten. I've seen an ad - government-based, the one that airing on the TV day in and day out, regardless of the lack of creativity, it's sending us a message, though.

Some people we know are hard to at least say one simple short word - Thanks. Each and everyone of us know that there is no harm by not saying "thanks" at all. But, it's an unsung and unwritten rules that we inherited from our ancestors; whereas saying "thanks" be made compulsory every time someone shown us their hands.

I'm not relating this matter to someone or anyone, but this happened last night. A poor and weak old man helped me lifting up a heavy thing. Maybe because of being tired, he left at once. I felt really, really embarrassed by myself for not be able to say thanks. Not that I didn't want to, but he simply left, just like that.

Waking up this morning, I made up my mind to redeem myself for the thing I've done last night. The first thing I did when arriving at work was seeing this old man. I took him for a breakfast. I told him that I wanted to pay the bill, but he refused to.

At the end of the process, he left first. He said he had something important to do that he couldn't sit long. I let him go. When I was about to pay the bill, the stall keeper said the old man has paid for the bill. The moment she (the stall keeper) said that, that was a whack! And what a whack! I lost to him twice! Shame on me...Shame on me.

The next time I see this old man, I'm sure I will not lose to him. I'll repay the good deeds he has done to me. I always come second to everyone when it comes to doing good deeds....Shame on me! How do I come first???

Bad Marks Remain Forever

I've learned a lesson today. And this lies just right within The Prophet of Mohamed's advise - learning takes the whole life, from the cradle to the grave.

Someone told me today that we learn from everything in this world, either living things or vice-versa. Though he is not a Muslim guy, he is quite well-versed with the Holy Quran, while most Muslims don't. It's a shame, a real shame.

Quoting what he have said in our conversations, "Human can never be perfect. Even the Prophets were learning up until the day their life was taken. We are just a simple human being without anything to boast about. So, there's no way we should skip learning".

Man, I tell you, this guy's understanding of God is totally superb. A man without proper thoughts can never be his match. He also quoted that "our perception towards someone should always be good", and I totally agreed with him. He added that "being soft-spoken is highly-demanded", because "once you leave a bad mark, it'll remain forever".

That changed my perception towards Non-Muslims. In fact, I changed it long before, but his capabilities in thinking about being good to people has further improved my perception. I have no wonder over his success in business. He holds the key of life tighter than everyone else I know.

From this point onwards, I'll try my every best not to leave any bad mark. Hopefully, people who was hurt by my actions, words or point of views in the past, will apologise me.

I couldn't think of one

This is my third comment in my very own blog. It came 4 months after the last post. You imagine...4-odd months...! That shows how busy I am in dealing with my life.

Sitting in a room of a friend gave me quite an easy day. Not "easy" in terms of works, but the atmosphere actually. I'm tired and sick with the surrounding of my working atmosphere. Of course there are competitions, but they are going in somewhat a wrong idea. I'm not going to tell you everything, because it'll only make me sick more and more. Oh, and I'm sick, currently.

Because of those unhealthy competitions, I'd rather leave myself outta the race than joining in. Not to tell you that I'm a loser (well actually I am, fictitiously), but being outside of a bad thing is somewhat the best option to pick for each and everyone of us.

You know what? I actually couldn't think of any thing to tell about. But rather transcendence, I manage to pop up here and post, for the fact that I haven't been posting anything for the past 4 months...

Up until my next post, I would say...That's all....And so long :D
